i ordered a factory clocked GTX 770 (this guy) with a custom cooler. i want to overclock it and i want that overclock to stay. in other words, i want to permanently change the clock speed rather than tune it every time the computer turns on.

how do i do this? do i flash the BIOS? is there a less dangerous way of doing it?

Thats untrue, essentially every card can be overclocked at least a little bit. Every card is different and will have different max OCs so companies factory OC to something every card can obtain for sure.

I mark this post as an answer by accident. my phones mobile browser is retarded. anyway, the card that I bought doesn't have the stock cooler. it has the 3 fan cooler and is more than capable of keeping this thing's temperature in control.
