G3220 + R9 280 Diablo 3

Hi,

I have a G3220 and I'm looking to upgrade my GPU. Will the R9 280 be bottlenecked when I play Diablo 3?

I'm currently playing with the G3220 + GTX 550 Ti, but I can't get full 60 FPS.

you can not remove the below 60fps drop in that game unless you go full retard on the graphics settings

but get a nice 60fps for the easier parts of the game is easier. you will get an improvement with the 280 btw.

Not a good idea pairing a fast card like R9 280 with that cpu, doesn't make sense.

Tho Marc79 is right, I have done exactly that too.... We're not alone there.

Now the answer is yes. You will be bottle necked. But an i5 can fix that, later on.

Here, look at this. I have the same cpu paired with the r9 290 and I'm happy for now till I decide on my cpu.
