Right, so i recently bought Apu arrived today... I get back home wanting to install it obviously and it looks as if it wont fit and the pinning at the back is different to the on i have on my mobo... That is acceptable i buy another mobo.. But then i see other rigs on ebay and etc. being sold with a "AMD A10 7850k" with the same motherboard i have? (MSI FM2A55M). I am seriously confused and annoyed because on the msi website it said that the MSI FM2A55M supported the AMD A10 7850k? Please help i am confused and i need to play Watchdogs!

Thank you...

Solution
Not sure where you see on the MSI site that it's fits, because the 7850k is a FM2+ socket chip, while that motherboard is only a FM2 socket board. Won't fit because of the +. Different pins, as you notice.

Yes, any FM2 motherboard should work with the 7850k.

Any FM2+, not any FM2.
