First off, i apologize if this is in the wrong forum. This questions shouldn't be too hard for someone who knows a lot about computers, but i do not....

Anyway, the question is: how do i find the manufacturer recommendations for my specific RAM? Specifically im looking for the timings, such as latency, delay, precharge, and cycle time. I ask because a possible fix for a video game i play involves finding the timings and seeing if they are off. The RAM information is: Samsung m471B5273DH0-ch9, 4 gigabytes.

Another question i need to ask, if the timings are in fact off for some reason, how do i even fix them? A forum for the video game i play has a guide for doing this, but they don't go into details.

If you need more information just ask, i googled to find the answer to this question myself but i have no idea what exactly im looking for. If the question if unclear please ask and i'll clarify to the best of my ability.

If you download and run "SPECCY" it will give you a lot of info including info about the RAM. Another useful program is "Belarc Advisor" - both these programs are free.

This will give you specific information: http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/product/computing-dram/detail?iaId=694&productId=7232

Regarding changing the timings I would not recommend you do that. Doing so will introduce new variables that could lead to a host of other problems.

Your ram is 9-9-9-24.

You can munaully set timings in motherboard bios if your motherboard has that feature, most motherboards in OEM computers (dell, hp, etc) do not have that ability.

You can also download CPUIDs CPU-Z software to see all of your motherboard and ram information.
