Far Cry 3 crashing every few minutes

Hi hoping for some help

. I had not played FC3 for some time and just yesterday wanted to pick it up again. I started a new game and now cant play for more than one mission without the game crashing. Has anybody seen this before and are there any common issues/fixes?

try changing the graphic settings to medium check if its working then Update video drivers from manufacturer website. Incase same issue try running a different game if it works fine you need to reinstall the game.

I think this is a purely software glitch. Perhaps you installed something that interferes with the game. This will take some time, but:

1. Install Revo Uninstaller
2. Install the game, while monitoring with Revo, into the SAME directory that it was already installed into.
3. Use Revo to uninstall the game.
4. Re-install the game again.

I recently played Far Cry 3 and there were no problems at all, not a single crash.

So just for fun I lowered my OC and the game started working. I never thought to check it because every other game worked just fine. I guess I had my CPU OCed so close to the limit that most games were just fine and Far Cry 3 must push the CPU harder than the other games I play. Thanks for the help
