My PC config is

Pro:Core i3-530

MB:Intel DH55TC

Ram:4GB 1333

PSU:Generic 500 Watt

I am thinking about buying a gpu (Choice is R9 290X or GTX 780).PSU will be Corsair 650W bronze. Is it necessary to upgrade the MB and PRO ? Will the GPU bottleneck the PRO ? Will i get the nearly same FPS if i buy faster processor and slower GPU ?

Where he's buying it, the 780 is cheaper. The 780 may be slower at base clock but it beats the R9 290 when overclocked. The 780 is also quieter and cooler which is always a plus. I'm usually not on the Green side but I think at the prices he's seeing, he should go with the 780.

If you can get the 780 for cheaper then get that. The 780 might be a little less powerful, but the price difference will justify that.

Also If you can get it at the same price as the R9 290X, try to find a 780 Ti.

But the r9 290 is less expensive than the GTX 780 and delivers more performance. But do NOT get the reference r9 290. It runs at 40 °C at idle and 95°C under load. I recommend the powercolor PCS+ r9 290. It has the besteht non reference r9 290 cooling in tge market and a decent price point
