Hey guys!
I am having such a big trouble. My mobo can't detect the HD5770 on the PCI-E slot.
I have tried another video on the same mobo - same problem.
I have tried another mobo with the same card - works like a charm.
I have tried with 1000W PSU (to be sure that I have enough power) - still nothing.

Then...I decide to check for BIOS update, and guess what I found! A BIOS from the official site, that says (quote from Asus's website) "2.Fixed onboard & add-on VGA card compatibility issue." You can check it on this link -> http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H61M_EVO/HelpDesk_Download/

Then...I decide to update my BIOS with Ez Flash 2 or whatever it is called. I took a brand new, freshy freshy formated FAT32 USB Stick, and uploaded only the BIOS file. Then I wen to EZ Flash through the UEFI, and select the new BIOS *.ROM file.....and it came up with an error: Image integrity check failed.

So I wasn't able to update my BIOS, and now I am still using the integrated VGA and can't use my 5770. Please, could you guys help me with the BIOS flash. I still hope, that the new version will help, and solve my problem!

All the best,
Azidaha

OK, let's start with the easy stuff first. Make sure you seated the card all the way into the slot. The lock on the back of the slot should catch and you shouldn't see any gold fingers sticking out of the top of the slot. You maybe catching on one of the latches for the memory or the heatsink on the chipset.

Do you get any sort of picture if you plug your monitor into the card and boot the computer up? Does the fan spin? If the card comes on and displays something before windows loads that would lead me to believe it's an issue between the motherboard settings and windows.

There is no picture, when the monitor is pluged to the card.
There is no picture on HDMI, DVI, VGA, but I can hear Windows 7 login sound through the speakers. When I switch to the onboard graphic, the monitor turns on and works like a charm.

P.S. I did the BIOS update ...somehow, but It didn't help.

Well, I tried it with another, third card - 7300GT and it works.
Are there any known or familiar problems between this mobo and HD5770?

The video card is working perfect on another MOBO.
Video card's fan is spinning.
Video card is getting hot.
But at the end, there is no screen...
PSU: 1000W FORTRON

Hey, looks like a new BIOS version just came out for your motherboard. You may want to try that and reset your CMOS settings afterward. That's really weird that it would work with 1 card and not the other 2. You did hook up the extra 6-pin power connector to the card, right? Not trying to insult you or anything, just checking.
