are windows 7 batter than windows 8 in gaming

Windows 7 is better for gaming for sure.
For me, some games like GTA IV did not work after upgrading to Windows 8, game kept crashing even with compatibility mode set to Windows 7.
On the other hand, some games/programs work after compatibility mode set to Windows 7 or even XP SP3.

Can you post proof of that claim or show me articles that say this. I would be interested to see that.

there are no difference worth mentioning regarding performance, just google some reviews and see. and lately the little gain windows 8 had is gone to. windows 8 was a big mistake, the metro thing was suppose to bridge touchscreen devices and desktop, lets jsut say the desktop got the short end of the stick...
