Okay, so my local computer store is running a "Random Fire" sale with the R7 240 2GB GDDR3 and the GTX 550ti 2GB GDDR5 both for $47.99 each. Which one is the better card? Which would be better for my resolution? I have an i5-25something with I think 2.5 or 3.3 ghz, 8gb of ram and my Res is 1366x768. I've been playing on integrated craphics. This whole time.. Also, what is the cheapest PSU I can buy just for the GPU? The 550 I saw in the store has 6-pin, but I'm not sure about the 240. I'm not as rich as most of you, lol. Please go easy on the prices.. All help will be appreciated

The R7-240 is a really crappy card. The GTX550Ti is a lot better I believe but don't have the benchmarks handy.

You should find out what your current Power Supply is because it might be capable. If not, something like the Antec VP-450 can be found for roughly $40.

UPDATE:
Yep, the R7-240 sucks. It's FIVE tiers below the GTX550Ti (cards of similar performance are grouped together):

The R7-240 is worse than the discrete HD3870 which I bought in 2007. It was a great card at the time though.
