I am working on a budget to build me a gaming system and I understand the psu is important and shouldnt be skimped on. With tht being said will this psu work in this build? Will it provide the system with enough power?

If you are not very conscious of power savings or disable the power saving features or you keep your cpu stressed during normal usage or keep the high performance profile then you can disable the C6 and C7 sleep modes in the BIOS and keep whatever PSU you like.
