which optical drive is better ?

You aren't going to notice a difference between two $20 DVD burners, i've used a variety of different brands, haven't used an LG but Lite-On, Sony, and Samsung optical drives all seem to be on par so i expect the LG to be similar. The only one i ever noticed a difference with was when i spent a bit more for a plextor drive, its dead silent, if it weren't for the blue LED i'd think it was broken.
But realistically, how often are you going to be using your optical drive? Back in the old days it used to be needed every time you launch a game, now i use mine maybe once every 3 months so the cheapest one you can find should do well enough
