Hey all.

I have a NVidia GTX 670 in my PC, and I also have an old Geforce 8400 GS kicking about.

I have two monitors that I am using both 1080p, and currently 2 monitors I am not due to them only being VGA/DVI connections, and my 670's DVI is being used by my main monitor. I only want the other two in for simple web browsing and network CCTV.

My question is this, If I install this older card, simply to run my other two monitors, would that in any way decrease the performance of my main card?

My MB is P8Z68-V.

Many thanks in advance.

I can suggest buying some adaptors. Search on ebay or other sites and use them on the main card. That 8400 is quite old. With the new drivers i dont think it will last pretty long. If i was in this situation that 8400 would have been memory by now. Trust me just throw it :)

Thank you. Thats what I thought. Just wanted another view. I'll look into getting adapters...

In the same way that you cannot go from dual screens to single screen, I have found it hard to go from 4 to 2 when I upgraded my GPU. :)

Thanks for the help!
