So I got a new cooler for my fx-6350 because the stock was making too much noise, and was running fine when I installed it on Saturday. However, today it doesn't seem to be working. The fan doesn't run at all at times, then it speeds up really fast to cool off ( was playing SMITE, and temps ran up towards 68 degrees C) and then stops. It was working great when it was working, but now it is pretty much being kept cool by the case fans. Does anyone have any advice?

Is the fan plugged into the motherboard? It's usually labeled CPU_FAN, on the motherboard header itself. Usually a 4 pin header.
