How does a DUAL RAIL PSU actually work?

I have a dual rail PSU with TWO 19Amp by +12V(19*12=228W in each rail).I have a ASUS R9 270(reqs.150W) GPU and a MSI motherboard.I wanna know is, how will my PSU manage power??
Will it give 150w to GPU from one rail and use other rail to power motherboard?
Or something else?
Please answer in detail.
Any help will be hugely appreciated. :ange:

It works just like the breakers in your house, the rails of a PSU are just a bundle of wires that run through the same current shunt, if current gets to high it will trip and shut down the power. Just like in your house, how the wires are split up depends on the designer of the system, many PSUs will tell you what is on each rail.

Generally you will see PCI-e connectors, possibly with some sata connectors on rail 2 of a two rail supply, with the CPU, motherboard, and other goodies on rail one, but that kinda depends on how many PCI-e connectors you have, they may have gone for CPU+PCI-e on rail 1, motherboard+everything else on rail 2. In the end, it doesn't really matter! Do you know what breaker every outlet and light switch in...
