Build with AMD A-Series, MOBO is compatible but NO video signal on start up to the .
D-sub connector. Could the Asrock mobo be defaulted to the HDMI or DVI connectors?
or do I need to be thinking worse scenarios?

I would first check if your graphics is set to integrated or PCI x16 for graphics cards. Here are a couple of check lists on "no video output". If you are using an D-SUB / DVI adapter, use the DVI-I/A port.

Also, we're going to need to know the full specs of your build.

Thank you for being there ready to help me ... I appreciate it greatly ... I had simply forgot to plug in the 4-pin... problem is now solved. ....I'm new to the forum ... I don't understand what you are considering to unselect..? Thanks again Eduello ..

In every thread, one answer can be selected as the solution, making the user who posted the answer rank up (kind of). Since you didn't know about this, I selected terry4536's answer as the solution because he answered your question (that's why the answer has green borders around it).

Usually the 'Pick as the solution' -button is only for the person asking the question, but since you clearly stated that your problem had been solved, I thought it would be nice to select a solution for the thread.

I hope this cleared thing up for you :)
