BIOSTAR A960D+ motherboard
8gb ram
r9 280x
FX 6300
1TB HDD
Unigine heaven benchmark 910 at 1920x1080p max.

I'm getting below average fps in every game. All drivers are up to date. Bios is up to date. Everything is at stock clocks and nothing is overheating. Where do I start?

Would it be under tracked threads? I thought I only posted one. The AA settings are all on default.

Tried that and didn't get much better. So frustrated, I'm going to re install windows 8.1 and see if it's stubborn old drivers or something.

Re installing windows fixed whatever the problem was. My benchmarks didn't change, but fps in games is much better. Still slightly less than what I was hoping, but maybe the fx6300 is bottlenecking.

If you have r9 280x toxic or something like stock @1000mhz +, then you might worrying about overclocking the 6300 as it is matched equally with r9 270x.
