So I am in dire need to get a new wireless adapter. I currenty use a little one you plug into a usb port and I got mad a few months ago while playing a game and threw it against the wall. Ever since then I get rapid lag spikes of 500+. And lately, at least twice a minute it goes up to about 700. So, I need some help. Let me first state I cannot get an ethernet cable because I am upstairs in a corner room with too much space in between to route a cord, so that is out the question. So I mostly need help with a good wireless adapter for gaming that you attach to your motherboard without having to be able to spend anything over 50$. Only problem is, my computer is under a desk against the wall and I fear that it will interfer with my connectivity majorly, for a reference I put a picture of the computer set-up. as you can see, the wi-fi adapter I am currently using is being held up by a piece of tape on the front, and I am worried that if I set-up a internet wi-fi adapter that it wont get any good signal at all from the point at which it is stationed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
