Hello,

I have NVidia GT755M SLI's and I am playing Battlefield 4 on Ultra-High settings with Post Processing and Anti-Aliasing Off. I saw that people use FXAA instead of AA since FXAA costs less in FPS but does the same job with 4xAA. The problem is I cannot see any options in game settings for FXAA-I checked the Anti Aliasing options too- also, in my NVidia Control Panel it tells me that FXAA is not supported by the application.

Can anybody help me please?

Thanks.

It's in-game:
"In the graphics controls, FXAA is represented by the "Antialiasing Post" configuration option. The game allows the selection between Off, Low, Medium and High. When we turned FXAA to the high level and began looking at the differences between that and no AA, we saw that jagged edges were significantly reduced and smoother compared to no AA. However, we also noticed that there was a significant deterioration in the overall image quality of several other aspects of the game."

It also smooths text edges as well since it works on the end of the rendering pipeline. NVidia has a much better AA tool called TXAA but it needs...

It does not do the same job as 4xMSAA, It actually makes everything look blurry, anyways if you want to enable FXAA go to your Nvidia Control Panel/Manage 3D settings/Program Settings and click on BF4, where it says Antialiasing-FXAA turn it on. BF4 does not have FXAA as an option on antialiasing deferred.

Also:
"After going through the different anti-aliasing options available within Battlefield 4, we believe that the current best image quality, while providing a playable gaming experience, is offered through the use of MSAA with FXAA and SSAA disabled. If your rig is not capable of driving MSAA, then it would be acceptable to add in FXAA at the low level as you still get some of its anti-aliasing without sacrificing a lot of the texture quality."

Other:
In BF3 the "deferred AA" caused a lot of muddiness. Not sure about BF4 but the guide I linked should help.

The problem is that it says "not supported in this application" in the AntiAliasing-FXAA option.

Now I got it. As like Antistropic Filter is renamed as Texture Filtering, they made FXAA as AA Post. Now I see. Thanks!
