I bought this motherboard with good reviews on Newegg thinking that it was going to be a breeze to start a new computer up after I set up everything. I'm in a deep ditch at the moment with this project, however.
It seems that when I turn on the computer, the computer boots to right before POST but doesn't actually enter it. The CPU fan starts (I have it water cooled so the radiator fan is attached to the CPU fan header), the VGA fans start, the chassis fans start that aren't connected via MoBo - but the chassis fan that IS connected to the MoBo either doesn't start or barely spins for a brief moment 1-5 seconds into start up.
Yes, I've checked all cables and connections and the PSU is working fine. I've tried almost everything be it changing out the RAM into different configurations and using no graphics card, even reset the CMOS.
There is one confession to make though - when I opened the socket for the first time on the MoBo I noticed one pin was slightly bent so I put it back into position seeing as they would probably charge me an arm and a leg if I tried to RMA it. This could be the reason why my computer won't POST but I don't want to have to RMA the board now that I've already tampered with it.
What do you guys think the problem is? I'm kind of new here so take it easy on me... This is the board I'm talking about: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87PROV_EDITION/

I'm using an intel 4770K and ADATA RAM

Check out this guide

Well, I did pretty much all of the stuff on this guide and I'm currently running the board outside of the case in a static free environment. All I can say is this board is probably a DOA.

These are the pics of what it looks like and what I'm doing thus far. Any further help and input would be a huge help.

I don't know why photobucket decided to post some of these rotated even though I uploaded them straight.

So you can see the MoBo is running but the monitor is blank. Also it's not giving me any Q-codes and no beeps from the speaker after I installed it. So I'm guessing it's because of an internal board issue. Hopefully the processor is fine.

Well I ended up RMA'ing it, we'll see where that goes. Hopefully Newegg doesn't return it...
