How much Bottleneck I will face with a sapphire vapor-x r9 270x with amd phenom 2 x4 955 ?
Isn't phenom 2 x4 good for gaming ? Could I able to play upcoming games like wach dogs, murdered soul suspect,Dying Light in ultra resolutions ? I am using 8gb 1333 (2*4) ram.!

I dont think theres gonna be a bottleneck but you wont be able to play Ultra on many games with a r9 270, High and Medium on everything though I imagine

I don't think there will be bottleneck either, as mid range gpu and cpu combo is perfect (they fit each other well)

As the owner of a MSI r9 270x and phenom ii 955 x4 BE, I can tell you that there most definately is a CPU bottleneck for the newest titles like BF4. Last time i played, my CPU was running at 100% tilt while gpu was only running at 70%.

You do realize that BF4 recommends 6 core processor instead of quad? But if you overclock your phenom 955 like i did with mine you wont see any bottlenecks.

Yeah actually it does still bottleneck. Also, with my CPU along with many other phenom ii's, if you overclock the multiplyer of the cpu, it creates audio glitches within bf4.

No it doesn't. I have no audio issues whatsoever in Bf4 and even in the beta of Battlefield Hardline. I have no bottlenecks either because my cpu doesnt even go 100% in running a game when my R9 270 is oc to 1200mhz.

Your doing something wrong in your overclock and something else in your computer is causing it to slow not mine.

lol! with my vapor-x r9 270x and phenom 2 x4 955 (stock 3.2ghz) 8 gb ram ! i am getting 45-50 fps ultra on battlefield 4 ! cpu usage is 60-70%

On my 965@4GHz (up to 4.2GHz since testing), which is only marginally better than the 955, I had no bottlenecks with a 760 on BF4 or any other game.
What my processor gains over the 955, the 760 demands more. CPU runs at 100 GPU at 99, monitored by MSI afterburner, and EVGA precision X.

There is NO bottleneck if you OC properly, a moderate OC to 3.9-4GHz will alleviate the bottleneck involved with a 270x.
