So i bought this laptop, and they sent me a dvd with windows 8.1. Long story short, error codes. Ill provide some pictures.

Actually i cant upload pictures from my phone i think. Anyways the issue is that my hdd contains a mbr-something ( dutch version, sorry )

On efi devices i need a gpt hdd.

I tries formatting my 1.7 out of 1.9gb hdd ( which is system ) and it didnt work. Also i have 930gb on my other hdd but i cant add this to the system one.

Sorry for limited info, im on my phone. The laptop is an msi gt70

If I understand correctly you have an MSI Laptop and you want to clean install Windows 8. 1 from a disk.
Ideally you should boot from the disk and when you arrive at the 'Where do you want to Install Windows' screen, use Drive Options (Advanced) to delete all partitions on the drive. (Ensure you back up any data you want to keep).
Then install to 'Unallocated Space' without formatting or creating any new partitions. That way Setup will create all necessary partitions including the System Reserved (350Mb) and installation will proceed successfully.
