This BUFFALO HD-PCTU3 500 GB Extrernal Hard Drive has really proved to be a nightmare. I have posted an image here of its properties in the My Computer tab. Could anyone explain what the 95.8 MB occupied space consists of. It is the only place where I can see it. All other software , command prompts or registry tweaks have failed to recognize this. The only other software where I can see this space is Piriform's Defraggler. How do I delete it; I've tried Safe Mode, BIOS and other such commands too! I am afraid to start using it as I fear it will eventually freeze my PC and throw up all sorts of errors. Coming to Defraggler it detects the drive but is unable to analyze it claiming it is an error. Likewise it is unable to check the drive for errors. Moreover it ejects my drive after failing to complete the task, and I am worried I would have to format it all over again. I've ticked the replace windows disk defragmenter option also. This has only happened after I have partitioned the drive, leaving about 270 GB unallocated space. Is it a problem with my USB cable or my computer. My PC, by the way is an Intel Duo Core 1.80 Giga Hertz with a 3 GB RAM and a graphic card of ATI Radeon 5400 series. Could any body, please tell me after taking their time reading this rambling post, what exactly is the issue? I would be grateful for any help!
