Hi,

I recently ordered most of the parts for my PC expect the CPU cooler and the SSD for various reasons, I will be getting late june or early july.

Rest of my PC
FX 8320
CM Hyper 212 EVO (Yet To Buy)
Asus M5A97 R2.0
Adata XPG V1 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
EVGA GTX 770 2GB
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD (Yet To Buy)
WD Blue 1TB
NZXT Phantom 410
Seasonic S12II 620W Power Supply

So, what do you guys think? Will the FX 8320 hold up well that long without overclocking ofcourse

The stock cooler will keep the CPU cool at the clock speeds advertised, so yes, it will be fine.

Like you said, just hold fire on overclocking until the 212 Evo arrives.

Looks great.

Create a 120GB partition on your WD Blue for your OS & Apps -- then copy it over to your SSD with the Samsung data migration tool.

Thanks Guys! One more little question. Is overclocking CPU worth it? Will I notice any difference inside games and video editing?

Also, I'm currently using my 1TB WD Blue in my current PC. So I guess I will be doing a fresh install then.

It varies by game title -- some are more demanding on the CPU than others.

It will help in rendering BUT you should find some software which will edit/output using your GTX770.

CPUs see an increase in percents -- graphics cards see increases in multiples over the CPU.

I'm an overclocker and have experimented with games at 3.3Ghz, 4Ghz and 4.4Ghz. Some of them benefitted from the higher clock speed and others didn't, so it varies between games. I did however notice a big boost in non-gaming tasks. Anti-virus scans finished much sooner at the higher speeds.

You can install the OS to the HDD and then use CloneZilla to put it on the SSD. Don't use Windows to create a system image as you can only restore it to a drive that has equal or greater capacity. I found this out the hard way.

Thanks Guys! I guess I will be overclocking then as I do render my videos using Sony Vegas which uses CUDA & I believe DayZ (Which I plan to play a lot) is very CPU intensive.

How does a R9 270X render faster than a GTX 770? I have heard that OpenGL is better than CUDA but I didn't expect the difference to be so big.

Anyways, thanks for the chart though.
