At that resolution is not worth it, you will be fine with 770.

At that resolution, even a 760 will be more than enough.

At 1366x768 you would be fine with a GTX 660 to be honest. Any of them will be overkill at that resolution.

If you can afford it, get the 770 in case you want to go 1080p some day, :)

I would never spend $500 if I had a 1366x768 monitor.

I recommend the GTX770, and perhaps a better monitor as well.

The REST of your computer matters too, especially the CPU. Every single AMD CPU has a tendency to be a bottleneck in many games, and below an Intel i5-4440 (4-core CPU) you'd also start to see more of a CPU bottleneck when paired with a high-end graphics card.

I recommend the ASUS GTX770 without knowing any other details. It also comes with a code for WATCH DOGS which you should redeem ASAP as they run out. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Monitor:
This monitor is $140: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vs229hp

It has an IPS panel (better color/viewing angle), and is 22" and 1920x1080. This plus the Asus GTX770 would be less than $500 (the cost of a GTX780).
