will gigabyte 78lmt-usb3 work with windows 8

i am thinking of build a pc and i picked out this mother board due to its price, all i want to know is if it is windows 8 compatible? when i was looking at the specs for this motherboard it says that i will have to install a new bios to allow it to work with the amd fx CPU's like the fx 6300, will that be necessary?

That's one of the best mATX AM3+ motherboards, good choice.

Yes, you will most likely need to update BIOS to use an FX 6300, however that's pretty standard with many AM3+ boards.

Also, you will have no problems with Windows 8 compatibility.

go to the manufacturer website for the motherboard, if they have windows 8 drivers, it supported.

Yeah, put the computer together, install Windows, then install drivers. If you have another computer, you can pre-download the network drivers, install them on the new computer. After that you'll be able to connect to the internet and download the rest of your drivers using the new computer.

i thought that the cpu and motherboard wont work if i dont have the new drivers, but thanks

If you don't have the correct BIOS version, you will need to upgrade before you can do anything, so you're right about that. However, I'm fairly certain that you won't have to do that with the motherboard you will be purchasing.
