let's start with how this all started. i run a OCZ SSD as my OS drive and 3TB hdd for data.
now tonight i was trying to copy some files from my phone to the SSD, but then the computer got frozen completely so i have to hard shutdown. after that the windows won't boot anymore, it will stuck on 'Starting Windows' screen forever, and if i run safe mode it will stuck when loading files. however, if i press DEL and goes into setup, i can see the OCZ SSD is still there. it just will not boot. and when i try to Boot from windows install CD it will be stuck as long as the SSD is connected.

finally i had to take the SSD out and installed windows on a spare 80GB HDD that's laying around, i cannot install windows on the 3TB hdd as it says some kind of format error. so now my windows is up and running and i plug the OCZ SSD onto my computer's SATA hot-swap slot. after i plug it in, my computer can detect the OCZ Octane drive and indicate there is 1 System reservered drive and 1 'Local Disk' which is all my important data at... problem is i just simply cannot access the drive, read anything from it. but the PC/Bios can definately detect the drive. what could be wrong, is that SSD still useable? is there any data recovery software that can get into the drive ? ? please see pic

Solution
you could download and run the OCZ Toolbox under Windows to check the SMART which might tell you if there are any physical issues with the SSD.
