samsung chrome laptop ss usb port

so, i'm trying to figure out the purpose of this port. the one with the ss and the usb little symbol. i tried fitting a printer cord into it, a flash drive, anything that can practically fit into the regular usb port, but they will NOT fit!!! NOTHING will. so i'm trying to figure out, what exactly is going on. is it the laptop or the things that i'm trying to fit into it so i know if i need to bring it back or not.

So do you know what's wrong? Why things aren't fitting into that spot.

No, I don't know why it doesn't fit. I haven't been able to find any differences between the "Chargeable Port" and a standard port, other than the charging capabilities.

I would try contacting Samsung with your problem. If in the USA, 1-800-SAMSUNG

So turns out that it's suppose to fit things like a regular usb port so I have to go and get it fixed :(

That's what I figured as I couldn't find any info saying that the chargeable USB ports were any different physically from regular USB ports.
