Ok, I want more performance out of my pc for gaming, but I have a few options and I don't know which will get me the most bang for my buck. Here is my build:

Mobo: Asus F2 A85-v Pro. [went with this because I was an idiot and didn't see the absence of pci 3.0
CPU: AMD A10 APU 5700 Trinity 3.4GHz (4.0 turbo) [again it was cheap, and on its own was a good deal]
Memory: Adata XPG V2 8gig (2x4) 1600
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 128gig
HDD: WD Black 1tb 7200rpm
PSU: Seasonic X-series 750w modular 80+gold
GPU: EVGA GTX 660 FTW 2gig dual fans [got this because I plan on using it in sli when I upgrade, if I do, even then, its not terrible even though its limited to pci 2.0 speed]

This was my first build, so I made a few mistakes, like getting a board that was pci 2.0 only and crossfire only, I prefer NVidia to be honest. My problem is this: I want to upgrade, but don't know what will get me the most for my money at this time, my options are as follows

Option 1: My processor supports AMD's Dual Graphics HSA technology, I've been looking into it and wouldn't mind going this route, but I cannot determine which graphics card is the absolute best for this, not to mention that the graphics cards listed by AMD as being compatible with this specific processor (the 5700) don't appear to exist, at least on newegg.

Option 2: Crossfire two Radeon cards. This motherboard does support crossfire, but I am wondering if this is even worth it considering the pci 2.0 limitation.

Option 3: New motherboard and CPU. This is what I am leaning towards, however I cannot make up my mind as to what to pick with my eventual goal of 4k resolution gaming (from what I understand, true 4k gaming is a few years down the road, so I want to be able to keep up until then.) My main issue is this, whether or not to go with a z87 board, a new z97, or go with the x79 since they have better support for up to 4 way sli (because they have more PCI lanes than the 1150 socket). Throw AMD boards into that mix and my head just explodes.

My Overall Goal: With 4k gaming beginning to emerge, and being just a few years away from being the standard, I would like to get a board that will have room for expansion to 4k resolutions. If I go with an Intel board that supports SLI, I will buy another of my current GPU and run them in dual SLI to start off with. I guess my biggest problem is my motherboard, I don't think it has enough there to even consider running in 4k. Currently I can run SWTOR and ESO on ultra with no problems other than ESO being a bit choppy), however battlefield 4 looks terrible and is choppy in ultra, with a lot of frame ripping. On medium its playable, but its medium, I built a pc to get better than console graphics, not play at them >.<

I would really appreciate any help on this. Right now I have about 250$ to spend, If I wait a few weeks I can double that. I just don't know where to put it. If someone could please please please tell me the answer to my dual graphics question in option 1 (even if you don't think that's the best option) I would really appreciate it, preferably a newegg link.

i will elaborate..

pci-e 2.0 is good enough because graphics card of this generation still cannot surpass the bandwidth available to the pci-e 2.0 slot.
pci-e 3.0 is technology moving forward for the next generation cards.

its the communication transfer speed.

like i said, "I dont think current graphics cards can saturate the pci-e 2.0 slot just yet"

So my best option for running stuff like bf4, titanfall, on ultra. Is going to be new mobo+cpu+graphics card?

I guess to simplify my question (after doing a bit of deep reading), For gaming in ultra on stuff like bf4 and titanfall, do I really need pcie 3.0? or is 2.0 just as good?

2.0 is fine and yes your best bet is a new processor and graphics card i would suggest a amd fx 6300 for bf4 and a 760 preferably a 770 or a comparable amd card.

I just did a upgrade for a 660GTX oc 2gb evga... My battlefield 4 didnt run bad. neither did titan fall..

we have some differences though. you may want to order 8gb more DDR3 1600.

other then a SSD and 8 GB more ram im not sure what else there is to upgrade unless you really want to put some real money in to this thing.. you will se a small performance boost going to 16bg ram and running your OS and your few fav games of a SSD.. it will just load alot faster.

But if you are willing you can always sell the computer and put the profit in to a new build, or if you have like 350$ a 280x or equivelant will be your best bet. for 399.99 you can buy a new X1 or PS4. so the 280x is where you get enough raw power to beat the new consoles in power completely. most games are GPU dependant more so then CPU, but some are very CPU dependant. this where you will run in to slow downs. may not be bad though. only lower you from 110 - 60 FPS, as long as your system can play games at 60+ FPS you can be happy. so i think your upgrade would be around 500$.. the price of a new X1 w/ kennect. but its a better investment. i have a x1. doesnt touch my Pc in performance and quality... but its a good system and is loaded with great features for the living room.

dont build a new system, you could replace CPU Mother board ram gpu if you can pull the current out sell it and buy new to replace it with. you may get quite a far amount of your investment back and match it for a whole new mobo ram cpu gpu set.. but DDR4 is coming. two years from today you will want to buy a new system anyway. your current one is fine as stated many times. just 8gb of ram, sell the 660gtx and get a 280/280x or equivalent. it will boost your system performance and get you threw the next two years to get a new system when DDR4 is out and price has come down.
