Hi Guys and Fellow Gamers

I am having a terrible problem as of recently. Whenever I play a video game, for example just two days ago I was playing Bioshock Infinite, I get really horrible screen tearing. This tearing only occurs when I turn my character (with the mouse), as vertical lines 'break' the graphics into sections. This is making gaming on my PC very unenjoyable, as the graphics are hideous, and it makes running and gunning in FPS games all the harder. This problem has also made FIFA 14 unplayable for me.

PS: I am playing with V-Sync on and my PC specs are as follows:

Intel i3 2100 3.1GHz
6 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR 3 RAM
NVIDIA GTS 250 512MB GDDR3
ASRock Z77 Extreme 4

If you do have any advice on how I can fix this problem, please drop a comment, as it will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Did you try playing with Vsync on?

If it used to be fine but recently got bad, did your video drivers get corrupted? Clean them out and re-install the latest ones. You need to describe your system in more detail for us to be able to give specific suggestions.

if you use adaptive v-sync you may experience tearing, only way if removing tearing completely is lowering graphics, higher fps, like doubling it help for everything, inputlag, tearing and so on.

I have added the specs in the original post. If it is of any help, I am using a WD black edition 500Gb HDD

I see your card has only 512MB of RAM. I suspect this is a big part of your problem. Turn off AA and lower other settings and see if it makes a difference. If it does, you'll most likely need a graphics card upgrade (or to accept the lower settings).
