Laptop shutdown after insert a pen on a damaged usb port

Hi, i forgget that one usb port is damaged (without the middle part) and connect there a usb drive and after that the computer shutdown and now when i click the button to power on, the computer start for about 0.5 seconds and shutdown. Anyone knows something i could check to fix this?
The laptop is Asus 1005px

Hi

Remove battery and psu
Get a bright light and magnifying glass and look into faulty USB port

There may be a bent piece of metal causing a short circuit and stopping the laptop booting

If the bent metal can be moved the system may work again

Then put some gaffer tape or insulating tape over the broken USB port

If this does not work go to a laptop specialist

If i remove the battery and connect the ac adapter the laptop shutdown after 0.5 seconds but if i insert only the battery the button of the power become with light on but the laptop dont work,just the light on the power button...
