Changing mobo from b75m to a z68 chipset?

hey guys im wondering if theres a way to change my new motherboard which has a different chipset from my old mobo. But all other hardware CPU, GPU, hdd etc etc are not changing without reinstalling windows 8?

You'll have to reinstall Windows if you change the motherboard, regardless of whether or not you change anything else.

If you were just changing the CPU or GPU, or the HDD, you wouldn't need to reinstall.

damn.... that sucks :/ well i have OEM version..... -_- also i have ssd and hdd can i back up my boot drive(ssd) to my hdd? sorry for the noobish questions haha

since you are changing mobo , you need a fresh windows install and to reinstall all programs. you can backup everything else though!

so i can back up all like media files etc... but not like my boot drive like program files, program files(x86) etc etc. and can i use the oem disk to fresh intall? or buy another copy..... -__-

you can make a copy but it can only be installed on one computer at a time

games require installation so like any other program you need to reinstall.(you can keep the saves. that is the only thing you should care for)
