R9 270x can my psu run it?

Solution
It will definitely be fine with the 270X. A 280 would be cutting it a little close, but if the PSU performs to spec it should be able to run it.

It's not so much about the Wattage as it is about the Amperage, and the RM450 definitely has enough amperage for the 270X (only requires 24A). A 280 requires 30A, and the RM450 puts out 37.5A according to tech specs, so if it doesn't perform to spec it could be cutting it very close.

the rm 450w has the power and the pcie power cables needed to run r9 270x. for about that money i suggest this better one and 550w to be able to support overclocking or even greater gpu and haswell compatible!

Power Supply: XFX XTR 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX (£73.78 @ Dabs)

correct, i misread.! for 270x you can overclock going with 280 i wouldnt. it all depends on the rest of your hardware !
