Hi! I have never built a computer from scratch before. I have upgraded and installed new hardware to pre-built systems and have a general idea of the level of parts I need.

I have a couple of worries when spending a lot of money, when it comes down to compatibility.

Here is a spec that I am thinking about building...

EDIT: I will swap the PSU to a 600 watt in the final build as suggested by one of you clever folk.

Do these parts fit together?! Has anyone had any issues with compatibility between any two of these parts, please reply if so!

Do I have to buy any extra cables for this setup and will any cables come with the Case?

Are there any parts here that -you- might swap out in this setup?

I have a mouse, keyboard, speakers, OS and monitor. With all that provided, have I got everything I need?

Any general advice about this build that I might encounter?

Please share anything you know, I will appreciate all the comments.

Thanks

I want to do a few things with this PC, editing, heavily modded graphic intensive programs etc.

I'm interested in what you have to say about the silent build vs overclocking build, could you please go into depth about how each one is effected because this is my first build I don't have the kind of insight you have.

I would like to build a very quiet PC with a hint of OC not to push the fan noise up and need liquid cooling to keep the volume down. I was advised in another thread that the h100i that I selected in the build linked in the OP is slightly outdated with a newer range.
