Does my motherboard support the 1TB Hard drive I want?

Hello, I currently want to buy a Western Digital Blue 1TB Hard Disk. My MotherBoard Is G41MT-S2PT
Ram : 4GB
Processor :Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs) ~2.7GHz
VGA : AMD Radeon HD 6450 2GB ddr3
And I have an old WD Hard Disk 160GB
The man who I want to get The WD Blue 1TB Hard Disk From, told me that my PC will become slower and it will lag. Also,Some partitions will be lost and deleted. He told me that another one got the WD Blue 1tb from him and he came to him complaining that
there was a data loss and some partitions deleted. So
Will MotherBoard G41MT-S2PT handle 1tb WD Blue Hard Disk without problems ,lagging, and my PC will not be slower.
I need the answer very quickly.

The 1st 1TB HDD was released on 2007 by Hitachi, WD should released the 1TB around that time too, and your MB had the 1st bios that was on 2011/07/08, that data was 4 year later after 2007. So your MB does support the 1TB HDD because some old MB ( before 2007) need update the BIOS to support the 1TB HDD.

The G41MT-S2PT has 4X SATAII 3Gb/s (300 MB/s) ports, and there is not HDD that can't have the transfer rate of 3.0 Gb/s ( 300 MB/s ). The WD 1TB has the transfer rate of 150MB/s. http://www.wdc.com/global/products/specs/?driveID=1092&language=1 So the HDD will work fine, not lag, no slower.

Yes, there is black, blue, green and red, etc. Black is the faster than the blue, the red is for RAID environment, and green for storage.
For home regular PC user you can use black or blue for C: drive, and you can get the 1TB for you PC definitely!

From gigabyte, go to the "Specification" tab and under "Storage Interface" you will see it has 1X IDE and 4X SATAII.

The WD blue is good for the games but it is not the best. If your HDD has problem then PC will run the "CHKDSK" during the boot. Or the old HDD will not be recognized, If the old HDD is fine it will not affect the PC.

If the HDD runs at 60C, it will not affect the performance, but like the company say it is not recommend to run at 60C because the SMART (self-monitoring analysis and reporting technology) may show errors and warning.

For the PSU, as long as it has the 15pin power cable and you have the data cable, then the PSU is good to go, also because you use the HD 6450 for now, you only need 300-400W PSU for your PC.

Both of them are same, the 64MB cache does not affect the game,

I heard about Bad Sectors. Can you explain them to me ? Also, I heard that to check if there are any bad sectors,

1- Right-click the hard disk drive that you want to check, and then click Properties.

2- Click the Tools tab, and then, under Error-checking, click Check Now. Then,select Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
I did that. All HDDs are fine except for E(Games) & H(Varies), Although I checked them more than one time but they always say That " Some Problems were found and fixed "
What to do to make sure that the old Hard Disk is fine and with no errors ?

Another thing : I already bought the new hard disk and I will receive it tomorrow, or say after 2 days. I told the man to make the Local Disk(C) 50GB. Is this space good enough ?

I don't want to get out of the main subject but does temperature affect AMD 6450 Performance (From 50 to 65) because it's always like that and what is the solution for this problem ?

Here is the " What Is a Bad Sector and How Can I Repair It? " http://www.auslogics.com/en/articles/bad-sector/ but keep in mind you can repair the true bad section, the software is doing remap the whole HDD, then skip the bad section. If there were a lot of bad sectors, I will recommend to replace that drive.

Do you buy the brand new or used? Because the new one should be unopen and you can do the partition your own.

The HD 6450 is not the real game GPU, but depends on what games you play, and the temp (50-65C) is normal for it, if the HD6540 has fan you can set the fan speed faster to cool down a little bit. Sorry I can't tell because the HD6450 is not the games GPU and you may play some modern games with HD6450 in low resolution or detail, also depends on what monitor you have.
