Toshiba Satellite C675D-S7101
So this laptop came to me with an issue, not starting up. It would take me to the black screen saying that a startup file was missing. After trying and trying to use the Windows repair disc nothing seemed to help, it would fail. So I tired a fresh install of Win7 and it failed about 3 times, without changing anything I tried it for the 4th time and it installed. It fired up fine with no drivers. Upon the first start up after idle at desktop for a few seconds it come up with "Windows explorer is not responding, etc.etc." After hitting close the program it flashed and went back to desktop and immediately it starting loading. After a few seconds it was acting fine, could move the mouse around no issues. So I started to browse through the C: drive and it was loading everything extremely slow, so then I decided to look in windows.old to see if the old data was present, it was not. So I decided I'd try to install the drivers, I had the wireless LAN driver and touchpad driver first so I could actually use the laptop. Neither of these would respond after the driver files had been extracted. When I would go to C:\user\XXXXX\appdata\local\temp to where it was extracted I tried to manually start the installs, nothing happened after the loading animation finished on the cursor.
I have a done many fresh installs and rarely had any issues. Are these signs of CPU or HDD damage? Any information would be appreciated.
*Note I had a lot of these same issues when I tried to do the same thing on a different Toshiba Satellite model with similar specs.
