Hi. Here's my build...

Case- Corsair Carbide 500R
Mobo- MSI G45 z87 gaming
CPU- i5 4670k
GPU- MSI 780 ti Gaming
RAM- Gskill Ripjaw 1600
SSD- Samsung 840 pro 256
HDD- Seagate or Toshiba (don't remember gotta look) 500gig HDD
CPU Cooler- Noctua NH-D14

I try to keep atleast 100gigs free on my SSD. My 500gig HDD is full. I need another HDD. 1TB would be more than enough for now. Need some recommendations. Thank you.

oh also can I connect a third drive to this motherboard?

Hey thanks for the reply. I just read a comment from someone that said WD black is a little faster but not worth the price for gaming and WD green is quieter but much slower... Said blue is optimal for gaming. It sounds good to me.

I'm assuming I need something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339

I'm a total noob when it comes to current HDDs. I see that it is meant to fit in a 3.5 drive bay? Not sure if my case has 2.5 or 3.5 I guess I gotta look that up. few other specs I see that I don't know about

Cache- 64MB I'm assuming the higher the better
SATA 3.0GBs vs 6.0 GBs I'm assuming 6.0 is better and works with my Mobo.

All desktop cases use 3.5. Some have slots designed to hold 2.5 as well, but all have 3.5" bays. You do not want a 2.5" hard drive anyways as they are laptop size and slower. Now an SSD drive is different and will be much faster then a hard drive (But cost per gigabyte is higher, thus most of us only get 120 or 240gb ssd drives).

Thanks for the reply. I have an the Samsung pro SSD and it is fast but does not have room for lots of games. I have Windows and SWTOR (MMORPG with long loading times) on it, along with some programs. Windows and SWTOR take up around 100 gigs but the loading times in the game are a night and day difference compared to the HDD. It's a good thing most games don't have these long load times.
