Hello,
I'm building a desktop meant for art/photo editing, some video editing, a lot of video watching/recording, light gaming, and possibly some auto CAD, but that last one isn't a current need. I was going to buy the i7 4770 but then I noticed the i7 4790 only costs 10 more dollars and looks slightly faster, so I was thinking about that one but does anyone know how much faster it is?
I will need to be able to record on my screen so I can make art tutorials, do speed drawings, and all sorts of stuff like that, but I don't know how CPU intensive that will be. I'm brand new to this, and I tried to do it on my laptop but it chocked really bad in the editing stages, so now I'm upgrading.
I also considered getting a K version so I can OC, but I can't afford to replace parts that often so I don't want to OC, and I want this build to last me as long as possible before I need to do any major upgrades.
Would getting an i7 be over kill for my needs, or is it a good item to get? I haven't looked at AMD so I don't know if they have anything better for my needs, but I always hear people going i7 for higher end, and not going with AMD.
