Hi all,

I had recently purchased a EVGA GTX 780 which after playing various games it was clear the card was under performing. The fps in games like arkham city, crysis and farcry 3 were sub par. After asking around and checking everything from drivers, direct x, bios and psu, I sent the card back assuming it was faulty. I then bought a Asus GTX 780 ti DirectCU II OC to replace it.

This card has had similar issues. All my games are played at 1080p which the ti should handle no problem. Arkham City goes from 60fps down to high 20s with quite a bit of stuttering when moving the camera. Crysis 3 in larger areas goes from 50fps right down to mid 20s and farcry 3 also seemed quite jumpy with DX11 enabled.

My computer specs are -

Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.4GHZ
16gb kingston hyperx 1600 ram
Asus GTX 780 ti DirectCU II OC
Sabertooth P67 motherboard
Corsair TX 750w PSU
500gb harddrive
windows 7

I have tested GPU temperatures with both cards with no issues. I have tested CPU temperatures with no issues. I have updated graphics card drivers properly, updated motherboard bios, checked all connections, validated all device certificates and direct x. I have uninstalled and reinstalled games and drivers. What am I missing??

next i would probably reinstall windows after that would be to start checking each part individually to see what is causing it. also you can try removing half of ram to see if it helps and then remove the other half to see if it is causing any issues.
