Please help
I want to build a decent gaming machine and would like some tips on what to go for. I'd like to use a Intel Core i7 4930K cpu with an Asus P9X79-E and a Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 290X Tri-X
Currently I'm not 100 % if this will work happily together or if they will build a good gaming spec PC. I am also unsure about what PSU to buy. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would advise against the x79 platform it wont really provide u much benefit in any of the games so with your budget i would get z97 board and wait for the 4790k CPU you can give your budget to us and we can try to do a best scenario for performance on what to get.

well your budget would really not be enough for what you were planning to get this is what i came up with and you can get 780 TI if you get a simple monitor but thats the best gaming monitor you can get and 780 pretty much can handle any game on that monitor at maximum setting and will be able to do so for a long time.
