I have this old desktop that I cant seem to get to boot up. It allowed me to go through the process of installing windows on the hard drive, which took a good 40 minutes so heat seems out of the question. I took out the hard drive and tried booting from a linux bootable cd, but the system shut down mid boot just like off the hard drive, so it probably isnt the hard drive.
I have only replaced the PSU with a Corsair CX430 since buying it. Here are the full specs for the standard h8-1214.
