So i just got a new computer which i built myself... and I didn't have any problems until now, when i game or use the graphic card for a long period of time my monitor shuts off and it says "HDMI power saving on". When that happens the only way I can reuse my pc is by restarting it manually with the reset button on my case.
I thought the problem could be that it was overheating so i download SpeedFan and found out that the temperatures where normal. 35 degrees (C) when just browsing internet and about 50 degrees (C) when gaming.
My computer parts are all brand new.

Any suggestion could help...

My pc specs are
16 gb of ram
AMD HD radeon 7790 by asus
gygabite motherboard
8350 amd-fx 8-core processor 4.0 ghz

To update your drivers on the monitor, you need to go the LG website and search for your model --> then go to device manager -> monitor -> right click properties and update driver. Next and last resort is to go into your bios mobo bios and see if it has any weird power saving features.

AMD cards and drivers don't have something called HDMI power saving mode, and the drivers manage when the GPU should turn off if inactive for set time. I don't see the driver causing the problem. Neither does windows power saving options will do that either.

This has to be an option on your monitor that if it doesn't receive signals from GPU it turns itself off. Update the drivers on your monitors? Press menu buttons on it browse through power options?? What kind of monitor is it?

meat_loaf thanks for the answer... i'll answer your question right now:
1. I checked in the monitor settings and there is no power saving mode options.
2. In windows' control panel i turned both of the sleep time and brigthtness on max so the monitor will never shut off.
3. How do i update the drivers on my monitor?
4. my monitor is a LG Flatron IPS234

thx again for any suggestion :D
