I've got an HP PSC 1209 that I was going to use with a machine that is offline. The windows 7 pro machine will, I assume, the drivers. Online I'm getting mixed signals about whether the driver is included in Windows 7 or not. I'd like to download a driver and take with the printer, to be on the safe side, but it seems I can't. Can anyone shed some light? A) can I really not download the required driver. B) do I really anything beyond what is already provided with Windows 7? (Sorry for the pre-emptive question... the machine is a long way away, so I'd like to be prepared). Thanks.

Windows will probably have a basic driver to print. If you want all the functions of the printer, download the HP driver to a USB stick...
