Is it bad to be close to the minimum power supply wattage?

I have looked at a few power supply calculators, and they say i should have a minimum of 500w, one even said to have 515w. I am wondering if i need to upgrade to a higher wattage PSU just to be safe.

2x120mm LED Fans
1x200mm LED side intake fan

If it was a more reliable model PSU I would be less inclined to suggest a PSU upgrade. Using a CX in a performance PC is like fueling your sports car with low grade ethanol gas.

The CX500 is fine for lower end builds, but at this range, I recommend getting a higher quality PSU like the Seasonic S12ii 520w

What corsair series is actually good? Arent there AX, HX, series? Which ones are good?

side note: i am overclocking my 8320.

Yes the AX, HX. XFX Pro, EVGA Supernova G2, Rosewill Capstone and Tachyon are all good ones.

Get a 650-750W if you want to really push that FX 8320.

There are 4 things you should look out for in a PSU
1. Efficiency , 80+ certs and all
2. Quality , how long they last while stressed
3. Wattage , how much power does your system really need ?
4. Looks and modular cables
