Hi, there

I know, i asked this question before, but i only got the GPU temperature answered,
Now i hope you guys can help me out,, what's the best temperature for my cpu and motherboard run at - Normal or Full load temperatures , shoud be >>?? ( My rig is running AMD FX8300 cpu - 16GB RAM - Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 Motheboard with MSI Geforce GTX 770 - 2GB ram ) with 2 extra fans in the case. My AI Suite II program says ( Normal useage ) the cpu is at 20c and 40c for the Motherboard and 30c to 40c for Video Card,, But at full load the video card runs at 61c to 70c ..so please,,help me again
So i can be aware of and cautious about it,,

Thank you !

That would depend on your CPU and motherboard model, but I would go ahead and say a million degrees would be pretty bad, but probably not that much worse than ten thousand.

It really helps if you tell us what the components are. AMD and Intel run at different temps. SO what CPU do you have and what Motherboard do you have.

IF he replies back that he doesn't know his model #s then that's it, I retire from Tom's Forums for at least a month.

the FX series starts to throttle the CPU down in frequency at around 62 - 65°c so stay under this or you loose performance.

for motherboards usually anything over 60°c is very high but most likely not harm it.

word of caution about Asus's AI suite II. if you install the monitoring program and run it, it will throw popups on the screen when temps and voltages get to far out of specs. The issue is it some times will give very wrong readings. Readings like your CPU is -32°c or 130°c the same happens withe the voltage. So you have been warned that there is a flaw and if you see the really odd temps or voltages it is usually nothing to worry about.

Cool,,,thanks guys,, i just finished playing TitanFall ,,,now the temperature is at high temps. AI Suite II had a warning pop up for the MB temperature at 61c ,, after playing TitanFall and cpu at 40c , but thanks for the information ,, i will look into it ,, and try not go over these temperatures ,,
have a nice day ,,

Then your Chipset North bridge or your VRMs are running on the warm side. I wouldn't say 61'C is dangerous, but you could lower it by adding some fans.

Example: I put a high pressure 80mm fan directly on my VRM heatsink. Easy $5 fix.

No problem. If the temp gets higher to the point that you feel uncomfortable, post again and we will come up with more drastic measures.

Also dont forget that Asus's AI Suite will throw a wrong temp. I suggest confirming that temp with a different Temp monitor like CPUID's HWmonitor or Open Hardware monitor.
