hello, i'm a beginner in the pc tech world. A couple days ago i tried building my own pc, here are my parts:
EVGA 500B 500W 80PLUS
Corsair 8 GB DDR3 1600MHz
Intel Core i3-4130 3.4 3 FCLGA 1150 Processor
ASRock Micro ATX DDR3 1066 LGA
Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti GDDR5-2GB
StarTech.com PCI Express Wireless N Adapter
PNY XLR8 SATA 6Gbps 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive
my motherboard hasn't arrive yet so i tried just hooking it up before it arrives tomorrow. i connected everything exactly like this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls#t=824
told me but when i turn on the system motherboard and cpu fan turns on but no display on monitor and graphics card doesn't turn on. i'm pretty much stuck.

Solution
Welcome jessejunkie. I remember doing my first build, drove me nuts why mine didn't boot either. Turned out my issue was twofold, jumper settings per motherboard manual, and completely forgot to plug in the cpu power connector! Silly me.

Toms Hardware has actually put together a very comprehensive guide with pictures that should help:

I would also highly recommend getting familiar with your motherboard manual, they tend to have handy diagrams, troubleshooting steps, etc.

i forgot to mentiion that everytime i power on my rig the cpu and power fan spins then stops before spinning again. sometimes it takes 2 to 3 cycles for it to keep spinning.

One of the reasons I like to have a MoBo equipped with an LCD diagnostic panel on my builds..... I can look up Error 53" for example and be told it's a memory issue.

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1150/MAXIMUS-VI-FORMULA/E8336_Maximus_VI_Formula.pdf

See pages 1-33 and 1-34

What I see using the panel relative to your situation is that if it doesn't like something it restarts trying new settings.

Seems you checked:

8 pin EPS plugged in
CPU fan plugged in
GFX card seated and power cable connected
Monitor cable plugged in correctly

Any LED lights on the MoBo ?

Any other puters around to test Monitor / GFX card ?

With that outta the way, I'd start with MoBo tech Support and see if they can guide you thru getting on board GFX working..... after that try the discreet card
