hi folks,
recently i got a brand new gtx780 and a corsair h80i (to oc my cpu).
im not sure which one is related to my problem but as im trying to play battlefield 3, i get low fps and the funny thing is my ram, cpu and gpu usage are low too!
i get 40-100 fps on lowest settings and 26-86 on ultra (native res 1080p).
my cpu usage would be between 35~60%, gpu between 30~55% and ram only 2.5 gb out of 8 gb.
i play battlefield 4 as well, and i get 70-120 fps on low settings (1080p) and near 100% cpu usage and around 60~70% gpu load.
i spent an hour on EA help live chat with one friendly advisor trying to find a solution for this to no avail.
trying to remember, back in 2011 when i got bf3, i used the EA Help live chat and the operator added some commands to my profile (i dont know what commands) in order for me to run the game smoother.. could it cause my issues? i dont know..
anyway, i overclocked my cpu to 4.20ghz and i installed my gtx780 then bf3 low fps/low usage started.
i have re-installed my windows, my bf3 several times, clean and unclean installation of drivers etc but nothing helped.
i installed latest vcredist_x86 and DX setup file in bf3 folder and no improvements..
i dont have that problem in bf4 as it runs like a charm but bf3; although very playable, i want to have the most out of my hardware.
so any help for this issue would be appreciated.
system specs:
AMD FX 8350 @ 4.20 (cores unparked)
Asus Crosshair V Formula Z
Corsair H80i (cpu temp never goes above 55c in 100% load)
EVGA Gtx780 sc ACX (default factory clocks)
Corsair Vengeance CL9 1600mhz (currently running at 1500 something mhz)
Corsair CX750 watt psu
Kingston V300 120gb ssd
Windows 8.1 64bit
1080p monitor
and some other stuff..
