Hello everyone,
First of all, I would like to thank Tom's hardware website and the community for the excellent information out here.
Please see my requirements below and suggest a good GPU:
1. Most of the time, I play RPG, Action or Adventure genre games, may be occasional shooters COD or Battlefield series.
2. I would like to play the games preferably in ultra or high.
3. 1080p resolution (just 1 monitor )
4. Don't intend to overclock and don't need to max out all the graphics settings.
5. Would be great if it could perform consistently on the above conditions for 3-4 years
Games I want to Play:
Diablo 3
Skyrim
Dragon Age
Dark Souls
AC
DMC
Saints Row
Watch dogs and GTA V ( mid to high settings on 1080p when they come out)
I would also be using my pc to watch movies, may be 60% of the time.
I am open to both Nvidia and AMD cards. (more inclined towards Nvidia.)
I was looking into GTX 770 and 760.
GTX 770 : Would it be an overkill for the genre of games I mentioned above or would it be wise to invest in it so that I could use it for 3-4 years?
Thank you for your time and help!
