I want to transfer my old hard disk to a new one including windows 7 on which the old hard drive runs plus all my old programes and files as the old one is slipped to 85% and I do not want to go through all the bother of going through it again.even if it requires new soft ware that is easy to use as I am78 years oldand cannot keep up with the new programes etc.

What brand and model is the hard drive? Depending on that, vendors provide software to do that free for download.

I myself went from a WD Blue to a larger WD black and ended up doing the same thing with the software above. No issues.
