Hello fellow users of Tom's Hardware, this is my very first post.
English is not my native langage thus please pardon me for engrish.
My name is Gene, I am used to buy "plug n play" computers, I would like to try building my own at least, mostly for gaming and storage, media playing, multi-screen, generating *.gcode files, editing audio files and sequencing electronic music with legit softwares.
I would like to get opinions about my eventual choices of components please.

Here are some of my thought so far.

Either the Corsair Obsidian 550D or the 750D (yet the 750D seems maybe a tad too bit "gigantic", not sure I really need it or if it will be a gadget for me in a near future). The 550D looks like a good compromise, big enough for Standard ATX with a full Metal/Alu finition.

Everything looks great to me!

Try the 8GB of memory, and if you feel that you need more, upgrade to 16GB later.
The i5-4690 is cheaper than the i5-4670K in the USA. I don't know what the prices are for you, though. Just check it out!
Also, if you can afford it, get the Samsung 840 Pro 256GB. I have it, and it's great. Otherwise, the 840 Evo will be just fine.
