My computer freezes, usually when Video streaming such as YouTube, Netflix, and Twitch with Google Chrome and something else ie: games, Photoshop, Foobar, etc. When it freezes i have no control at all visually there is no response from my peripherals. I have checked the pins of my CPU and re-seated my GPU, reapplied my thermal paste, and dusted everything thoroughly (don;t know if that helps).

My specs are: CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
MoBo: ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0
RAM: Corsair Venance 16GB DDR3-1600
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X VAPOR X 3GB
PSU: Corsair 850W ATX12V
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200 rpm

My Idle temps are nominal which leads me to believe its not a temperature problem. Also I have updated everything such as Flash, Java, and Silverlight as well so I don't think that's the problem either. Please help this is driving me crazy

I had a similar issue with Chrome in 64 bit installations of Windows

I ended up switching to Firefox and issue was resolved. It is a known issue with Chrome's integrated Flash and 64 bit operating systems.

If it's in other applications, I'd run a memcheck and verify that your BIOS RAM speeds and timings are set to the correct settings on the RAM sticks.

may want to bump the dram voltage and voltage on the memory controller with large ram stick you have. also check that you have the newest bios file for the motherboard and use cpu-z to see what your mb ram is set for speed. try setting it to 1333 speed and see if it locks up.
